kaffee fassett

Oh how wonderful are these paintings by the amazing Kaffee Fassett. I saw an exhibition of his huge canvases in Liberty's many moons ago, and fell in love with the way he paints the patterns and not really the forms so that the whole thing could then be very easily translated into a tapestry or patchwork...the colours are so gorgeous and inspirational....

  3. In the late 80s I had a diary The Inspirations of Kaffe Fasset. On every alternate page were pictures or photos which contained inspiration for him. And every page was wondrous. I haven't seen his paintings previously either - omg Danielle how wonderful to live in the UK and go to exhibitions at Liberty albeit years ago. Of course his regions of colour need to be simplified to translate into textile media... love it.
