knitting and stitching show

Mum, Fran and I drove round the North Circular to visit Alexander Palace for the Knitting show and had a wonderful day out together being inspired with all the incredible stuff there. As we walked into the main hall which was beautifully flooded with light from the glass roof we were faced with a life size sailing boat that some clever girl had actually knitted!
The most beautiful knitting inside the show was done by some textile graduates, and there was a lot of machine embroidery, tapestry and felting. Giant knitting and rag rugging....beading, the royal needlework school, it was a feast for the craft senses!
